About Us
As a company, we have an aggressive ambition to see our technology revolutionize the lawn care, landscaping, horticulture, and agriculture industries worldwide, allowing companies to elevate their green benefits on both a residential and commercial scale.
We exclusively hold the keys to a proprietary patented technology invention that significantly minimizes the impact of current unfriendly and unfavorable fertilization practices on our environment and ecosystems. The Select/Slurry Solution Technology (S/SST) invention is more than an exciting new fertilizer application method. It is a way to revolutionize horticulture and agriculture fertilization and pest-preventative practices.
The Company
Environmental Solutions was created out of the passionate advocacy of its Founder, Joseph Matulis. Since its inception, Environmental Solutions has been concentrating on improving the methods of application for the required fertilizers and nutrients to plants in all fields of horticulture and agriculture. After many years of research and testing, we have developed a patented, computer-generated S/SST fertilizer delivery invention.
Joseph Matulis – Founder/Inventor/CEO
Mr. Matulis is responsible for 16 claims of improvement covered by the current USPTO 7,717,353, originally filed in April 2005. In addition to his inventions, Mr. Matulis was Vice President and principal owner of L&M Lawncare International Inc. While there, Mr. Matulis was the co-developer of a former fertilizer dispersion process and acted as a field supervisor to 26 franchises. He implemented direct sales efforts and promotions to generate retail service clients and designed the company’s marketing and advertising campaign. In addition, Mr. Matulis founded, owned, and operated Atlantic Shores, a research and development operation with the purpose of developing formulations and techniques for southern turfgrass and horticultural ornamentals. This effort represented early progress on improving current methods of delivering and combining custom blending onsite of fertilizers, helping to accelerate and increase his passion for improving fertilizer application methodologies to be more environmentally responsible.
Robert Mills – CFO
As the CFO for Environmental Solutions, Mr. Mills brings with him over 40 years of experience in business and industry, including 23 years in the chemical industry and as a private owner of a business and financing consulting firm. While in the chemical industry, Mr. Mills served in various business management positions ranging from $1million to $1billion in size. He has successfully managed projects involving new technology with accountability for the business planning and execution of all aspects of a project, including organization structure, schedule, contract strategy, and financial controls.
Next Steps
Field Tests: With our "Alpha" prototypes, we will give onsite demonstrations, in addition to field testing the vast array of custom-blended fertilizer applications on many pre-selected and approved commercial and residential sites.
Expand Formulas: Environmental Solutions plans to expand its research and development in collaboration with the University of Florida IFAS Research and Education Center which will significantly broaden the selection of nutrient varieties of all-natural, organic, oceanic, and vermicomposting fertilizer formulations to help further improve our environment and ecosystems.
R&D Training Site: Environmental Solutions plans to establish a limited commercial retail “Beta-Site” operation in Central Florida which will provide local fertilization and pest control services that are solely acquired through on-site demonstrations. This operation will also assist in licensee employee/equipment training. This site may be completely managed by Environmental Solutions (Company), or joint ventured with a local well-established professional lawn care & landscaping company that employs the S/SST technology exclusively within Central Florida.
Licensing: Environmental Solutions will license its new technology to lawn care and landscape businesses through a royalty fee based on sales, including a nominal renewable licensing fee for territorial rights. The S/SST invention would replace their current obsolete equipment to maximize net profitability and potentially gain a significant market share advantage over their competition. On the other hand, a direct sale or lease option of the S/SST equipment will be made to businesses that do not sell fertilization and pest control services residentially or commercially for a profit. These companies and organizations will employ the use of the S/SST technology for their own property enhancements. This includes private and public golf courses, recreational parks and resorts, private, public, and professional athletic fields, as well as city, state, and municipal properties. Their nominal annual licensing fees will be determined by property size.
